Canadian artist Gary Paiva, was born and raised into a vibrant, artistic and culturally diverse Portuguese household in Toronto, Canada. His father was a landscape architect and his mother is a culinary master, whose artistry with exquisite Portuguese dishes inspired much of Gary’s passion. 

Gary is best known for his fashion infused surreal collage pieces with unconventional organic shapes and tailored shadows, altering the viewer’s perspective, often more than once in a single viewing. Gary’s latest collection was designed to impact the viewer with intrigue, by minimizing surface space. Gary ‘s works highlight the unseen aspects of everyday life, accentuating the seemingly mundane facets.
